Focus and clarity. Lets start back at the beginning. If you or someone you know doesn’t know what they are aiming for in life then they probably won’t arrive where they truly want to be. It’s a bit like a boat - if you head off out to sea hoping you will arrive at an awesome destination you will probably visit lots of different places or even bob around in the ocean going a little bit left and a little bit right. Now add in a destination, a map and compass and now you have a whole new ball game. You may visit lot of other places away from the direct route but you have defined destination.
How does someone identify that destination, that focus? Find out your WHY. With a big enough WHY the HOW will take care of itself. What truly makes your heart sing? What would you climb a mountain to get to? Where is your tribe – your people? What meets your 6 core needs as identified by Tony Robbins. The 6 core needs talks about have the following needs:
Certainty: also know as safety or comfort - the known, familiar things in your life
Uncertainty: also known as adventure – the unknown parts of you life – keeps things interesting or challenging or scary
Connection: to others, nature or spirituality
Significance: the recognition you get from others
Growth: Whether this be in career, relationships, education, self, community involvement etc
Contribution: to others/society/family etc
The first 4 needs are about your personality and last 2 are about your happiness, spirit and others.
Start with having a look at what you are passionate about and see how they go at meeting your 6 core needs. Learn, redefine your focus and explore some more. Focus and clarity are a journey to identify your WHY and where there is a will there is a way!!!
